Transforming the model of interaction between government and the public, government’s online services can act as a catalyst. The Punjab Portal fulfills basic requirement of the user to understand different types of services provided by the Government of Punjab. As a part of National e-Governance plan, variety of services offered by the Punjab Government is now being brought to you through State Service Delivery Gateway. Sewa Kendra is now authorized to receive service request from Citizen like you and submit them electronically to the departments for verification and processing. Even Citizen himself / herself can apply for the services through online or offline mode. Adoption of E-Governance would support to bring government machinery to the doorsteps of the citizens.
There are two ways available in the Portal to get the benefits of this service. User can apply either Online or Offline. Offline mode consists of submitting the filled form to the concern office along with the attached documents. Online mode gives easy methodology to apply. To avoid the hassle of visiting concerned office again and again, online method gives step by step status report of the application. There are different scenarios for the citizen in terms of locality like user from Urban areas or from Rural areas of Punjab. With the help of internet, even citizens from rural areas can apply online without any difficulty.
